Professional support for law firms, lawyers and those who need to work with the law.
Eileen has 15 years of experience as a Law Lecturer in leading UK and Northern Ireland academic institutions such as Oxford University, University of Cardiff, Wales and Queen’s University, Belfast. She continues as a Guest Lecturer, Author and External Examiner in legal academia and is regularly interviewed on Irish radio and television on topics of interest.
She fulfils her passion for providing training in and around issues of law for public and private sector clients. She has also delivered training for political parties, pressure groups, NGOs, women’s centres and health promotion organisations since 2005.
Eileen has a wealth of experience in designing and delivering training in the fields of Medical Law, Human Rights Law, Equality Law, Education and Women’s Empowerment. However, she is able to design and deliver training in other areas of law as well.
She is one of only two trained BBC ‘Expert Women’ in the field of Law and regularly provides expert commentary on Radio and Television in Northern Ireland (you may watch her videos here and here). She is highly apt at cutting through the jargon and complex language of the law to empower people outside the legal world with the knowledge they need in ‘real word’ terms.
Eileen is often sought by students in the UK and internationally, who have benefited from her one-to-one coaching techniques which help them through the process of devising, researching, writing and submitting dissertations at Undergraduate, Postgraduate and PhD levels. All mentoring and coaching is tailored to individual needs, including assistance with clarifying ideas, grammar, structure, effective writing and referencing.
As someone who has also published extensively in legal academic journals, Eileen is also able to assist academics in a variety of disciplines from around the world with proofreading and English expression in preparing their articles for publication.
