Stephanie is a Consultant Coach at Lex Conscientia, providing tailored coaching to select candidates. She helps them to communicate effectively and with confidence at interview so that they can demonstrate their full potential to prospective employers. Her role with us focuses principally on providing support to those looking to return to legal practice after career breaks.
Stephanie studied law at Kings College London before training and qualifying as a solicitor at Marriott Harrison. She practised for many years in the fields of media and commercial law, both in private practice and in-house.
She took a two-year break from legal practice, whilst branching into coaching and training, before returning to work in-house for a year at Channel 4 through Lawyers on Demand. Since then she has focused on delivering soft skills training for law firms as well as coaching women to be more confident, fulfilled and empowered.
Interviewing for legal roles after a long break can be nerve-wracking and sometimes that means we don’t come across at our best. I coach candidates in simple but effective techniques to make sure they put their best foot forward in interviews and can share their story in a way that aligns with what law firms want to hear..
Alongside this, Stephanie has been a volunteer interview coach for Smart Works, a charity which helps women back into the workforce after long career breaks.
As a former practising lawyer with experience of returning to practice after a career break, and extensive experience in training private practice lawyers on how to come across with the right impact, Stephanie is perfectly placed to give insightful coaching to candidates looking to do the same.
